Decree No. 2018-675<\/a> of 30 July 2018 on the definition of active substances of the neonicotinoid family present in plant protection products was recently published.<\/p>\n

This text is addressed to manufacturers of active plant protection substances, producers and users of plant protection products and seeds treated with such products.<\/p>\n

Five neonicotinoid substances are banned:<\/p>\n

– Acetamiprid<\/p>\n

– Clothianidin<\/p>\n

– Imidachloprid<\/p>\n

– Thiacloprid<\/p>\n

– Thiamethoxam<\/p>\n

According to the Biodiversity Act 2016<\/a>: “The use of plant protection products containing an active substance or substances of the neonicotinoid family and seeds treated with such products shall be prohibited from 1 September 2018. \u00bb<\/p>\n

As from 01\/09\/2018, the use of plant protection products containing one of these substances is prohibited for uses which are not subject to a derogation by ministerial order, in accordance with Article L. 253-8 of the Rural and Maritime Fisheries Code.<\/p>\n

Derogations from the ban may be granted until 1 July 2020.<\/p>\n

Please note that our laboratory carries out the analysis of these five substances under COFRAC accreditation (Scope N\u00b01-1904 available on the COFRAC website).<\/p>\n
