{"id":32878,"date":"2024-04-17T16:54:04","date_gmt":"2024-04-17T14:54:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/?p=32878"},"modified":"2024-07-03T16:55:13","modified_gmt":"2024-07-03T14:55:13","slug":"changes-to-mrls-regulations-2024-1076-2024-1077-and-2024-1078","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stagingphytocontrol.shdesign.fr\/en\/regulatory-watch\/changes-to-mrls-regulations-2024-1076-2024-1077-and-2024-1078\/","title":{"rendered":"Changes to MRLs &#8211; Regulations 2024\/1076, 2024\/1077 and 2024\/1078"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[hover_box image=&#8221;\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/fruit-et-legumes-03.jpg&#8221; image_hover=&#8221;\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/actu_publication-rasff-2016_02.jpg&#8221; link=&#8221;&#8221; target=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three new regulations amending MRLs have just been published by the European Commission:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Regulation (EU) 2024\/1078 <\/strong>of 15 April 2024 amends Annexes II and IV of Regulation (EC) 396\/2005 as regards maximum residue levels for azoxystrobin, flonicamid, isofetamide, mefentrifluconazole, metazachlor and pyrimethanil.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Azoxystrobin<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The MRL for hops has been increased from 30 to 40mg\/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Flonicamide<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The MRLs for cabbage leaves have been increased from 0.03 to 0.5mg\/kg and for kohlrabi from 0.03 to 0.15mg\/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Isofetamide<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The MRLs for Lamb&#8217;s lettuce, Scarole, Cress, Rocket and Baby Greens have been increased from 0.01 to 20mg\/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mefentrifluconazole<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For citrus fruits and pistachios, the MRLs have been increased from 0.01 to 0.5mg\/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On strawberries from 0.01 to 0.8mg\/kg,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Other berries and small fruit and table olives from 0.01 to 2mg\/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On persimmons and dried legumes from 0.01 to 0.2mg\/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Beetroot, Carrots, Celeriac, Horseradish, Jerusalem artichokes, Parsnips, Radishes, Salsify, Rutabagas, Turnips from 0.01 to 0.1mg\/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Tomatoes and Aubergines, Brussels sprouts: from 0.01 to 0.4mg\/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On peppers from 0.01 to 0.9mg\/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On cucurbits from 0.01 to 0.3mg\/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On cabbages and artichokes from 0.01 to 0.7mg\/kg<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On head cabbage and beans from 0.01 to 0.04mg\/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On rocket, young shoots, spinach and herbs from 0.01 to 7mg\/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Peas (shelled), Linseed, Poppy seed, Mustard seed, Camelina seed from 0.01 to 0.08mg\/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Cardoons, Celery, Fennel, Rhubarb, Oil Olives from 0.01 to 3mg\/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Hops from 0.05 to 15mg\/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Metazachlor<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The MRL for leeks has been increased from 0.06 to 3mg\/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The MRL for honey has been increased from 0.05 to 0.08mg\/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pyrimethanil<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On table grapes 5 to 6 mg\/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On garlic from 0.01 to 0.03 mg\/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On honey from 0.05 to 0.3mg\/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This regulation enters into force on the twentieth day following its publication in the <em>Official Journal of the European Union<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Regulation (EU) 2024\/1077 <\/strong>amends Annex II of Regulation (EC) No 396\/2005 as regards maximum residue levels for 2,4-DB, iodosulfuron-methyl, mesotrione and pyraflufen-ethyl.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2,4-DB<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The MRLs for cattle, sheep, goats and equidae have been reduced from 0.1, 0.2, 0.4 to 0.05mg\/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MRLs for milk have been reduced from 1.5 to 0.05mg\/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Iodosulfuron-methyl<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For iodosulfuron-methyl, the MRLs in Annex II of Regulation 396\/2005 are set at the specific LD for the product concerned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mesotrione<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For mesotrione, the MRL for sugar cane in Annex II to Regulation (EC) No 396\/2005 is set at the DL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pyraflufen-ethyl<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As regards pyraflufen-ethyl, for hops, the MRL in Annex II to Regulation (EC) No 396\/2005 is set at the product-specific LOQ for the product concerned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These regulations will apply from 6 November 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Regulation (EU) 2024\/1076 <\/strong>amends Annexes II and V of Regulation (EC) No 396\/2005 as regards maximum residue levels for bispyribac, metosulam, oryzalin, oxasulfuron and triazoxide in or on certain products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All existing authorisations for plant protection products containing these active substances have been revoked. There are no Codex-based MRLs (CXLs) or import tolerances for these active substances. MRLs for these active substances should be set at the limit of determination (&#8220;LOD&#8221;).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All MRLs for bispyribac, metosulam, oryzalin, oxasulfuron and triazoxide have already been set in Annex II to Regulation 396\/2005 at the level of the limit of determination.
