{"id":23462,"date":"2021-08-05T10:16:28","date_gmt":"2021-08-05T08:16:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.phytocontrol.com\/?p=23462"},"modified":"2026-03-13T14:40:35","modified_gmt":"2026-03-13T13:40:35","slug":"phytocontrol-extends-its-accreditation-for-the-analysis-of-chlorates-and-perchlorates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stagingphytocontrol.shdesign.fr\/en\/news\/phytocontrol-extends-its-accreditation-for-the-analysis-of-chlorates-and-perchlorates\/","title":{"rendered":"Phytocontrol extends its accreditation for the analysis of chlorates and perchlorates"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n<p><b>Thanks to the hard work of our R&amp;D department, the Phytocontrol laboratory announces the extension of its accreditation to the analysis of chlorates and perchlorates.<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new families covered by the accreditation are the following :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"> <li> Oil-rich products <\/li> <li> Meat products <\/li> <li> Fish products <\/li> <li> Spices<\/li> <li> Aromatic and medicinal plants <\/li> <\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Phytocontrol is currently the only laboratory in France to offer perchlorate analysis under accreditation on tea.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to be ever more efficient, our R&amp;D team has also optimised the analytical process of this multipolar method, including the analysis of <strong>chlorates <\/strong>and <strong>perchlorates<\/strong>.<br> This analysis, a guarantee of the Phytocontrol group&#8217;s service quality, makes it possible to achieve a QL of 2 \u00b5g\/kg for <strong>chlorates <\/strong>and <strong>perchlorates <\/strong>on all matrices. <br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What regulations apply to these two compounds ?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The use of <strong>chlorates <\/strong>was banned in the European Union by decision 2008\/865\/EC. Since this decision, no MRL had been set, so the default MRL of 0.01 mg\/kg applied. EFSA recognised that it was not possible to comply with this default MRL due to the origin of the <strong>chlorates<\/strong>. Regulation (EU) No 2020\/749 therefore established temporary MRLs for chlorates in foodstuffs. These MRLs are applicable from 28\/06\/2020 and should be reviewed in 5 years. <br><br> <strong>Perchlorates <\/strong>were added to Regulation 1881\/2006 via Regulation (EU) No 2020\/685. Maximum levels have been set since 01\/07\/2020 on fruits and vegetables, tea and infusions and baby food and infant formula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our solution<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Phytocontrol, an expert in pesticide analysis, offers you the analysis of chlorates and perchlorates under COFRAC accreditation by LC-MS\/MS associated with a limit of quantification of 2 \u00b5g\/kg with a delay of 3 to 5 days.<br> <strong>This delay can be reduced for urgent requests<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>eed technical, regulatory and pricing information?
