<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regulation (EU) 2020\/1085<\/a> and its corrigendum<\/a> on Maximum Residue Limits for Chlorpyrifos and Chlorpyrifos-methyl has just been published in the OJEU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a reminder<\/a>, Regulations (EU) 2020\/17 and 2020\/18 had signed the non-renewal of the approval of these two active substances with a grace period set at 16 April 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indeed,\nEFSA had confirmed the neurotoxic properties of these substances and could not\nrule out a genotoxic potential for the consumer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The text\nsets an MRL at 0.01mg\/kg for all foodstuffs falling within the scope of Annex I\nof Regulation (EU) 396\/2005.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These new MRLs will enter into force from November 13, 2020<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
