Regulation (EU) 2019\/1561<\/a> amending Regulation (EC) No 396\/2005 was published in the OJEU on 18\/09\/19.<\/p>\nThis regulation modifies the MRL for chlormequat residues in oyster mushrooms.<\/p>\n
A temporary MRL was set at 0.9 mg\/kg for sleeping fungi, as monitoring data showed the presence of chlormequat residues on untreated sleeping fungi at concentrations above the limit of determination, which may result from cross-contamination between untreated sleeping fungi and straw treated with chlormequat in a completely legal manner.<\/p>\n
Recent monitoring data specific to oyster mushrooms indicate that residues of chlormequat are present in oyster mushrooms at concentrations above the temporary MRL for cultivated mushrooms.<\/p>\n
It was therefore agreed to set the MRL for chlormequat for oyster mushrooms at 6 mg\/kg<\/strong> and to maintain the existing MRL for other mushrooms at 0.9 mg\/kg.<\/strong><\/p>\nThis regulation is applicable as of 08\/10\/2019.<\/p>\n
