riz

Laboratoriz, an expert in the field of agri-food analysis, is proud to announce the renewal and extension of its accreditation ISO 17025 by the COFRAC, following the October 2023 surveillance assessment. The decision dated 08/01/2024 attests to the quality and conformity of the services provided by Laboratoriz, a subsidiary of the Phytocontrol Group.

COFRAC audit renewed – Progress in accredited parameters.

Within its scope, Laboratoriz now offers 6 accredited methods, consolidating its position as the preferred partner for players in the food industry.

One of the major advances has been made in the field of rice analysis. Laboratoriz can help you monitor and analyse rice in its three main states of processing: paddy, cargo or milled. What’s more, depending on the nature of the rice product studied, the laboratory can provide accreditation for a number of essential parameters, such as moisture content, percentage of grain defects, grain biometrics, milling yield and even gelatinisation time.

Proficiency test – A stimulating challenge for your laboratory.

When it comes to the Proficiency test (inter-laboratory testing) specific to rice, Laboratoriz is innovating by offering a transparent and collaborative approach :

  • Three samples are sent out each year (February, June, October), enabling a regular assessment of the performance of the participating laboratories.
  • Five tests are available, depending on the type of rice analysed (paddy, cargo or milled), ensuring complete coverage of quality requirements.
  • The parameters vary from 2 to 20 depending on the test chosen, guaranteeing an in-depth assessment.
  • Laboratoriz’s participants include major players in the rice industry at both national and European level.
  • It is possible to join the Proficiency test during the year, offering flexibility to laboratories wishing to take part in this collaborative approach.

These developments underline Laboratoriz’s ongoing commitment to excellence, innovation and collaboration in the field of food analysis.

Customised rice training

In addition to these advances, Laboratoriz is proud to announce two new training courses in partnership with Phytocontrol, focusing specifically on rice quality :
