Phytocontrol analyses the matrine !
Phytocontrol is pleased to announce the evolution of its pesticide analysis offer with the development of Matrine and Oxy-matrine.
Matrin is an alkaloid naturally present in some plants that has been detected in fruits and vegetables grown in various countries.
At the last meeting of the Standing Committee on 21 and 22 March 2019, the German authorities indicated that the presence of matrine in food could present a potential risk.
The European Commission shared an information note on this substance prepared and presented by the German authorities at this meeting.
The DG Grow Fertilisers Working Group is expected to decide on the presence of matrine in fertilisers.
The Phytocontrol solution
To respond to this emerging problem, the Phytocontrol laboratory is able to search for Matrine and Oxy-matrine by LC-MS/MS with a LQ of 0.01mg/kg.
