CADMIUM: Changes to maximum levels for certain matrices

Regulation 2023/1510 amending regulation 2023/915 has just been published.

It modifies maximum cadmium levels for tiger nuts (souchet) and cultivated mushrooms, with the exception of Agaricus bisporus (button mushroom), oyster mushrooms and shiitakes.

Maximum levels are as follows:

  • Radishes except tiger nuts: 0.020 mg/kg
  • Tiger nuts: 0.10 mg/kg
  • Cultivated mushrooms except Agaricus bisporus (button mushroom): 0.15 mg/kg
  • Agaricus bisporus (Button mushroom): 0.050 mg/kg

This regulation applies from 10/08/2023.
